James Rodgers

Senior Vice Principal

James is Senior Vice Principal with responsibility for behaviour and attendance, inclusion and student voice. He started with JMA in September 2012. Previously he held posts as Deputy Head, Assistant Head and Director of Specialism. He has a National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), which means that he is qualified to be a headteacher. In his spare time James enjoys running. He has run in three London marathons and has represented Middlesex for cross country and road running.
Melanie Jones

Assistant Principal

Melanie is Assistant Principal in charge of Post 16.  She has been with JMA since it opened in 2006, having previously worked at Thamesbridge College.  During her time at JMA, Melanie has held the posts of Head of the Humanities Faculty, and Senior Teacher Curriculum Development, before being promoted into her current role.

In her spare time she enjoys involving her very active children in the great outdoors, cooking for and socialising with family and friends, and spending the summer months camping in Dorset and Cornwall.

Jen Dennis

Jen Dennis

Interim Assistant Principal

Jen is Interim Assistant Principal with a responsibility for the quality of teaching and learning across the Academy. She started at the Academy in 2014, having previously worked in London schools and holds a Masters in Leadership and Education from the Institute of Education.

In her spare time Jen enjoys coaching canoeing and other outdoor activities, but is just as happy reading a good book.

Steph Kimsesiz

Interim Assistant Principal

Steph is Interim Assistant Principal with a responsility for assessment across the Academy. She joined the Academy in July 2013 as Head of Science, having previously worked in local secondary schools.

In her spare time, Steph enjoys cooking and other family activities with her 3 year old daughter, but is just as happy watching a good film and getting some well-deserved peace and quiet!

Shyam Dhokia

Shyam Dhokia

Interim Assistant Principal - Curriculum

Shyam has been with the Academy since April 2016. Previously he held posts as a Senior Teacher, Head of Department and Teacher Training Manager working in high achieving secondary schools and supporting their curriculum design. Shyam has a passionate belief that if students across all abilities are given the best learning opportunities they can achieve great success. In his spare time Shyam enjoys playing golf, coaching basketball and boxing.
