JMA celebrates Red Nose Day

On Monday 20th March, Team PE spent the evening baking cakes for Comic Relief. There were different levels of success, all cakes were sold or presented by Mr Carter to Ms Ellener and school visitors.

Throughout the week (20th-24th) pupils completed a charity one mile during the allotted break time for that year group. Across the school lots of pupils completed this raising money for Comic Relief. On Friday selected Year 8 pupils took part in 3 alternative sport sessions. These were taster sessions in Climbing, Street Dance and Ultimate Frisbee. All pupils involved had a fantastic time showing great happiness throughout as well as resilience if the heights of climbing or dancing were slightly out of their comfort zone.

After school on Friday 24th March the PE Team took on the rest of the school in a charity football game. There was a great turn out of staff (players and spectators) as well as pupils who enjoyed a thrilling game of football. Although the rest of the school team tried hard, Team PE were victorious winning 6-4.
