Elite Basketball update

Our JMA Basketball Academy Boys' represented Reading Rockets U18 in the national quarter final away to Myerscough. The U18 team was entirely represented by JMA Elite Basketball students. The result was not meant to be meaning Rockets exited the competition at the quarter final stage. However, reaching the last 8 in the country is a significant achievement. The exciting thing for JMA is many ofthese player's will return to JMA for their second year in September which bodes well for next year's Academy team.

Similarly our JMA Elite Basketball Girls' went down fighting for Reading Rockets in the national quarter final to Manchester. In a tense affair the girls lost out in the closing minutes. Reaching the national quarter final capped off a wonderful season for the JMA Rockets. The future looks very bright for this team as all are returning for their second year at JMA.

JMA Elite Basketball programme has received a significant amount of interest for the coming season. Many applications for the elite basketball programme are coming from regional and national team level players. There has also been interest generated from overseas. This is testament to the growth of the Elite Basketball programme at JMA.
