JMA U16 beat Swindon Town

On Monday evening we hosted Swindon Town in a game at JMA with an U16 Recruitment squad. Our strong link with Eldon Celtic was again highlighted as no fewer than 10 of their talented U16's were involved alongside other trialists including one of our very own JMA Year 11s Logan.

The game started at a frantic pace and with Swindon including 4 of their U17 Scholars in the squad it looked like it was going to be a very competitive game. The young JMA lads got off to a fantastic start though and within 9 minutes found them selves 3-0 up with 3 excellent goals for Connor, Ali and Marco. Swindon eventually fought back to get the game back to 4-3 but Connor completed his hat trick late on to make the game 5-3 and earn the boys a well deserved victory against the League 2 side.

With a number of pro clubs in attendance it could be an exciting period for this talented group.

Development Coach Ben Cook said "This group has a lot of ability and the boys are all very hard working. They have got bright futures whether that is here at JMA or if they move on to other things. We are already very excited for next season"
