Home Learning Resources

Please see below for information relating to Home Learning. We have included links for each year group, as well as information on how to access your school email account, GCSE POD, Hegarty Maths, Bedrock and SharePoint (Virtual Learning Environment- VLE). Links are included to the right to guide you to the correct login screens, and we have also included some handy videos at the bottom of the page to help you access the learning tasks and resources that teachers will set if there was a further lockdown.

Years 7, 8, and 9

Students will complete work using their knowledge organisers and work sent home to them. Students should have access to their emails regularly to ensure contact and work is up to date. Students should know their login details, but if they have forgotten they can look at the information below on how to reset or change their login details.

To Login, students should use their JMA email address and their normal JMA password.

To further support Year 9 students with transition into their GCSE year, students have access GCSE POD via their usual school login. This online platform has subject material for all GCSE studied at JMA and will prepare and improve student's subject knowledge.

Maths work might be set on Hegarty Maths, which can also be accessed through a button on the right. A handy video has been included at the bottom of the page for accessing Hegarty Maths, and you should already have set your password for the site.

If you have any difficulties accessing your email or Hegarty Maths, please refer to the video links at the bottom of this page.

Tier 2 Local lockdown/restrictions

If the public health advises for a year group/bubble to isolate and work from home for a given period of time (The likely period would be to isolate for 10 days), teaching and learning will continue through the following methods.

  • 1 loom lesson per week per subject area which will be uploaded onto the School YouTube Channel (the link is to the right-hand side)
  • All supporting resources for the lessons will be uploaded onto the JMA VLE.
  • Students will receive a pastoral phone call from their tutor or Head of Year each week.
  • Students will also receive a virtual tutor time via Microsoft Teams

Letters regarding this information will be send out if the situation arises.
