All students in Year 11 receive an extra lesson each afternoon from 3pm to 4pm to maximise the opportunity for academic success. Over a two week period this means that they have two extra Maths lessons, two English lessons, two Science lessons and four Options lessons. 

Champions’ Hour 

At 4pm we encourage Year 11 students to stay and work in Champions’ Hour. Students are able to work using the desktop computers on their homework and academic studies. Snacks, drinks and other incentives are provided each day. 

Attendance Rewards

We encourage all students to aspire to 100% attendance. The links between attendance and achievement are clear - and students regularly receive prizes and rewards for excellent attendance at Hartland High School to recognise its importance. This is especially important in Year 11 as students work towards their summer GCSE exams.
