'Back to the 90s' Showcase

Mr Robinson's favourite music and era is the 90s. As a result, the Performing Arts department decided to put on an entire evening of 90s classics, from rave to Brit Pop and Rap to the Spice Girls. We performed 17 items on the evening starting with the rave classic "Born Slippy" and ending on the crowd pleasing "Wanna Be". As the audience entered the room it was set up like a 90s rave with glow sticks, smoke machines and banging tunes! As the show started the audience were shown adverts and films from the 90s, as well as speeches from famous movies such as Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction. Highlights of the evening included: Park life, Fastcar, a Michael Jackson medley dance and Oasis Wonderwall performed on the ukulele. The evening was also the first time our new Year 7s took part in a show and they definitely showed their potential. All year groups took part from Year 7 right up to Year 12; in total 57 students (our biggest yet!)
