MA has been awarded the Silver Schools Games Mark for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Silver award is given to schools that show commitment to in school (intra) and outside of school (inter) competitions and fixtures, as well as striving for all pupils to be fit and healthy, reducing inactivity for all, not just the most sporty pupil. The award also focuses on leadership; to which 15% of pupils repeatedly engaged in this area whilst all have the opportunity to lead within their PE lesson. JMA had over 10 clubs involved with delivery of events across school throughout the year and 66% of pupils engaging in extra-curricular sport multiple times a week.
This is an amazing achievement particularly as JMA was the only secondary school in Reading to achieve the Silver School Games mark last year.
