After a long wait, parents and carers with children in year 6 around the country will receive their secondary school place offers on Monday 2nd March.
The transition into secondary school is one of the most important stages in young people’s development. At JMA, one of our top priorities is making this transition as smooth as possible for all our new students.
Working together with primary schools in the local area, we ensure that there is a clear path students follow from primary education through to secondary school.
Every student has different needs. We make sure that those who require extra support aren’t left behind, and those who are at a more advanced stage of their academic development are sufficiently challenged.
With the support of The White Horse Federation, all of our teaching staff receive ongoing, high-quality training. This ensures that our students are educated using innovative and effective teaching methods.
At JMA, we are proud of the fantastic sports provisions we are able to offer our students. As they move through the school, all our students will have the opportunity to benefit from our elite-level sports provision, which includes strong connections with Reading Football Club and Reading Rockets basketball team.
We are certain that JMA is an excellent place for young people to develop into confident and future-focused young adults.
For those who have been offered a place at JMA, simply accept your offer to secure your place. For those who haven’t, it’s not too late to appeal the decision.
To all the new students starting at JMA in September, we can’t wait to welcome you to our school community.
